Great Ways of Making Extra Money at Christmas

Christmas can be a difficult time financially so it is work looking at ways either you or other family members can earn extra money. Christmas is traditionally a busy season for us all bit if you are prepared to give it some thought there are lots of ways you can earn extra money at Christmas.

Consider a part time job in a local store or pub or cafe as they will be extra busy in the Christmas season. If you live in a University or college town you could look to temporarily replace students who have returned home for Christmas. So look for some temporary evening work locally, you will be surprised at what is available for the few weeks leading up to Christmas.

Another way to earn extra money for Christmas is very obvious and will not be liked by all but stay in when you would normally go out, and even better work and be paid when you would normally go out, thereby both earning and saving at the same time. This may be one more for the teenagers but why not consider setting up a babysitting service on New Years Eve? You could charge a really good rate and be earning money instead of spending.

There is a big market for helping out with deliveries at Christmas. How do people without transport get their Christmas tree home? What about setting up a delivery service. Or a Christmas card delivery service locally within (say) a mile or so radius? If you really think about it there are many potential opportunities simply delivering items at Christmas.

Fancy outdoor lights are gaining popularity fast. Why not offer a Christmas lights design and installation service?.

IF you are crafty then why not make your own Christmas cards to send yourself or sell. You could extend this to any sort of Christmas craft such as cake making, candles, gift baskets, mince pies

Finally, why not go online and setup a niche store selling Christmas gifts, goods, decorations from eBay or Amazon. You refer a customer to eBay or Amazon through your store and you maka a commision on any sale. There is no customer service to worry about, no stock to carry – the retailer will handle all of this. You just need to drive customers to them.  You can see an example of such a store at tips for celebrating christmas and read my review of the site building process behind it at successful work at home career
